During the weekend of April 20 and 21, the Canadian Crosslifting Federation had it’s seventh training camp at CrossFit Guerriers. Supervised by our two internationally renowned coaches, Ciro Ibanez and Abigail Guerrero, this camp was a unique opportunity for our participants to discover weightlifting.

This event took place over two days. On the first day, the main focus was on masterning technical movements, ‘’snatch’’ and ‘’clean and jerk’’. We also talked about the ins and outs of weightlifting programming, the workload, recovery, athlete building, etc.

The second day was devoted to finding a "one rep max". All our participants were able to achieve a new personal record, in "snatch", "clean" and "back squat". We also talked about the benefits of stretching to understand it’s necessity. Weightlifting is a sport that requires a lot of flexibility. Mobility is therefore a very important aspect for this sport.

At the end of this training camp, all our participants left satisfied, but above all more educated on the Olympic sport of weightlifting. Thank you all for your confidence and thanks to CrossFit Guerriers for your support to our federation. Please note that all the money raised will be donated to the children of the Canadian Crosslifting Federation.
