Confinement champions !

Due to the confinement, all weightlifting competitions were canceled or postponed.
As a result, the American weightlifting federation had the right initiative to set up a series of 3 online weightlifting competitions:
- During the month of March
- During the month of April
- During the month of May

These competitions allow athletes to record a score for future competitions such as youth nationals or senior nationals.

Beyond Lifting had 3 athletes, Ivy Marie Brustello Buzinhani, Emily Ibanez Guerrero and Brayan Ibanez Guerrero, who participated in the competition during the month of April.

Ivy, in the under 30kg category among the 11-13 year olds, won first place with a 26kg snatch and a 31kg clean and jerk!
Ivy finishes with a total of 57kg!
With the confinement, Ivy has been training since the beginning of the crisis at home with weights and bar provided by Beyond Lifting. Despite the poor conditions, Ivy equaled her best total established during the internal test in February!

Emily, in the under 40kg category among the 11-13 year olds, also won first place with a snatch at 40kg and a clean and jerk at 49kg! With a total of 89kg, Emily confirms her good physical preparation! Training in your living room is not as motivating as a gym but she still equals her best performance established during the internal test in February!

Brayan, with a snatch at 79kg and a clean and jerk at 90kg wins first place in the category of under 55kg among the 14-15 year olds.
A few days later, Brayan set a new push jerk record with 110kg! In the end, being confine is not a bad thing.
