Weightlifting training camp for children #2
The training camp
The Weightlifting Club Guerriers will host during the march break a weightlifting training camp for children only under the supervision of our coaches Ciro Ibanez, Abigail Guerrero, Temuera Betham & Quentin Patault !
Groups will be made according to the level of the participants. Lunch and snacks will be the responsibility of the parents.
The training camp will take place over 5 days, from 10AM to 3PM, starting the 2nd and ending the 6th of March.

Coaches
Ciro Ibanez
=> Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports, specializing in explosive strength in weightlifting
High Institute of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Havana, Cuba
=> Coach of the weightlifting teams of France and Spain
=> Participation as a coach at 8 European Championships and 4 World Championships
=> Sporting success:
– 3 times Cuban Junior Champion
– 6 times Cuban senior champions
– 1981: 1st Pan American Championship
– 1983: 1st at the Pan American Games
– 1982: 8th at the world championship
– 1983: 5th at the world championship
Abigail Guerrero
=> L2 certified gymnastics coach
=> Bachelor’s degree in sports massage
=> Crossfit athlete and weightlifter
=> Participation as an athlete in 5 European Championships and 4 World Championships
=> Sporting success in crossfit:
– Qualified for the 2014 regionals
=> Sporting success in weightlifting:
– 6-time Spanish senior champion
– Finalist at the European Championships (2001, 2002, 2004, 2009, 2012)
– Finalist at the world championships (1999, 2001, 2002, 2003)
– Selected for the London 2012 Olympics
– World Champion in -58kg (35-39 years old)
