The IWF Grand Prix, held on June 16, saw a phenomenal performance from Montreal's Rosalie Dumas. The Guerriers Beyond Lifting club athlete demonstrated her exceptional prowess by setting a new Canadian record.

Dumas began the competition with a strong performance in the snatch. Her first attempt was successful at 103 kg, followed by a second lift at 106 kg. On her third attempt, she triumphantly lifted an impressive 108 kg. This weight is not just a personal best for Dumas, but also a new record in the Canadian books, further solidifying her standing as one of the nation's premier weightlifters.

In the clean and jerk, Dumas validated 125 kg. With a combined total of 233 kg from both lifts, Dumas secured a commendable 6th place finish at the IWF Grand Prix. Consistent progress is characterizing Rosalie weightlifting journey to Paris 2024. Her performance in this critical qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympics certainly bodes well for her future endeavors.

Looking ahead, Dumas is now preparing for the World Championships in September, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This upcoming event provides another exciting platform for Dumas to shine and continue to push her limits.
